Gone to Lunch, Back Soon!
Gadzooks! Has it really been over a month since the last posting on HFoS?
I suggest somebody pulls their finger out and gets a proverbial wriggle on… That would be me then.
Just to let you know, HFoS hasn’t died, nor the bloke what does the writing. It will, in fact, return shortly. Largely because this backlog of Esoteric reissues in need of review, isn’t getting any smaller.
Reasons for maintaining radio silence the past few weeks? I would like to say I’ve been busy revamping the site, as has been my threat for the past couple of years. Sadly though, that would be a lie.
I have, in fact, been extremely busy with other projects. I could say more, but I won’t. Instead, cop an earful of the ever-excellent Steeleye Span and ‘Female Drummer’, taken from the 1971′s Please to See the King.
Don’t just read and applaud. Subscribe to the rather splendid RSS Feed

I love that strand of music represented by Steeleye Span, Fairport Convention etc. That girl playing Sandy Denny on tv does capture a certain evocation of the real person. Wonder who will play Maddie Prior?
I’ve missed this, Laura. What programme is it and when was it on?
Gosh, I’ll need to research that and get back to you; I think it was a trailer for a programme yet to come or imminent. It was almost creepy to see the girl playing Sandy – the hair, the clothes, that look on her face – very Sandy Denny, though I suppose she had a visual style that was easy to capture. It’s something on mainstream TV, will get back to you.
